On Friday Kristi, my mom, and I decided to take the kids to Cortez to go swimming. They all had such a great time.

Oakley loved these water fountains and played in them for most of the time we were there.

All nine kids, Lexi, Jensen, Maxon, Camryn, Carter, Scout, Addi, Oakley, and Logan.
There was a rock wall in the rec center where we went swimming so after we were done the kids all gave it a try.
Jensen was a good climber.
Oakley even tried it out. He didn't love it though.
The lady that was in charge of the rock wall kept telling the kids that they couldn't make it all the way to the top because some of the grips had been removed but Jensen decided to prove her wrong and did it anyways.
On Saturday Matt, my dad, and I went four-wheeling out at Arch Canyon.

The kids all refused to go with us because they wanted to ride horses. They would have loved to try to catch all the lizards we saw.

Do I look tough or what?When we got to the arch my dad said that he has always wanted to try to hike up to the back of the arch and I said "Let's go." So off we went.
Here's a view from the front of the arch. It ended up being a lot further and steeper than we anticipated but we made it. It was a great hike.

And this is from the back of the arch looking down at where we started. It was an awesome view. I have to say I pretty much kicked Matt's butt on the hike.
While we were riding four-wheelers grandma saddled up the horses and let the kids ride. They loved it. They are definitely related to their grandma.
